A partir de testimonios y conversaciones con docentes (antiguos y actuales) de la Universidad Nacional en Bogotá, se reconstruye una versión sobre los inicios de la enseñanza del grabado en esa institución que no aspira a ser una historia oficial ni la única, sino a arrojar una mirada de largo alcance sobre el particular. Se cotejaron distintas visiones y prácticas pedagógicas adoptadas por los docentes −colegas y artistas− para la enseñanza cotidiana de su disciplina en los talleres universitarios, con el objetivo de empezar a trazar la historia misma del grabado en el país.
From testimonials and conversations with teachers (past and present) of the National University in Bogota, we reconstruct a version about the beginnings of the teaching of printmaking in the university, one that doesn’t aspire to be a unique or official history, but rather to shed some light on the subject. We place together the different visions and pedagogical practices adopted by the teachers –colleagues and artists– for the everyday teaching of their discipline in university workshops, in order to begin to trace the history of printmaking in Colombia.
