Resumen
This document presents the development of a software-based prototype aimed at achieving the interoperability of electronic medical records in Colombia, in accordance with current regulations and supported by blockchain technology. Firstly, it highlights the crucial importance of the medical record as a patient's essential record and follow-up, crucial for accurate diagnoses and treatments. Despite the existence of separate systems for managing medical records within the General Social Security System in Health (SGSSS), the lack of consistency and integration hampers access and uniformity of information. This generates the need for a unified medical record, accessible from any point, leading to the recognition of interoperability in medical management, as evidenced by successful experiences in other countries. Colombian Law 2015 of 2020 supports this idea, facilitating access to information and the exercise of people's rights in the health sector. In this context, a distributed system was devised to replace independent systems, ensuring equal participation and interoperability of medical records in Colombia, using blockchain technology. Essentially, it aims to decentralize medical information, providing users with greater control over their data.
