Resumen
This project aims to implement a control architecture configured under the IEC 61499 standard for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications, using the EcoStruxure Automation Expert (EAE) platform and equipment from Schneider Electric’s (SE) portfolio. The proposal aims to demonstrate the advantages of open, modular and interoperable systems over traditional architectures based on IEC 61131 by integrating industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA and MQTT. The methodology included the review of technical documentation and engineering software training, the design of a scalable IIoT architecture and the implementation of a pump station simulated and controlled through EAE, with communication and visualization validations in Node-Red and UaExpert. The results show a flexible and portable system, in which interoperability between different devices and platforms is guaranteed. It is concluded that the adoption of the IEC 61499 standard favors the development of distributed industrial solutions, prepared for the technological evolution of Industry 4.0.
