Resumen
This interview discusses the importance of cultural identity in the Amazon and how education can be a driving force for its preservation. The interviewee highlights that, while many people associate the region with the jungle and biodiversity, the true essence of the Amazon lies in its people: indigenous communities, Afro-descendants, settlers, and Europeans who have formed a diverse community.
One of the main issues is the loss of identity among young people, who feel ashamed of their language, culture, and traditions. Through his work as an educator and cultural guide, the interviewee promotes the appreciation of Amazonian identity in education, encouraging students to recognize their cultural heritage. Additionally, he invites the community to strengthen these spaces of knowledge and foster a sense of belonging among new generations.
