Abstract

In this research is recorded in chronological order all the process I went through to build the character "ADRIANO", in the monologue A OTRA COSA, MARIPOSA, by Juan Manuel Martins, first readings, impressions, improvisations, my chaos, first exercises , new readings, comprehension, warming, staging, makeup, costumes, lights, music, set design and finally, premiere. In this construction process you can see the elements you use to reach the goal of a character who loses his identity because he wants to appear before a society that reifies him. A man who is confined in a mental sanatorium, who feels superior to all humanity believes that he holds the key to happiness. But inside he is a man with a deep depression. The reason for the problem rose in the monologue, its time, and context and then the path to interpretation is analyzed. I feel that in my subconscious there is a lot of information that will not be written, but that at the moment of representation will appear as a small light indicating the way. The way to approach this character was studied and I consider that nothing has been in vain. A short process but used to the maximum to obtain the objective; build a theatrical character.
