Resumen
This document focuses on the comparison of methodologies for obtaining digital terrain models (MDT) and digital surface models (MDS) from stereophotography and LIDAR, with the purpose of generating orthophotos and true orthophotos. The focus lies in highlighting the current panorama of this topic and highlighting new approaches for the creation of both modalities, emphasizing the various investigations, articles, and projects that address this topic. Stereophotogrammetry is based on aerial images and allows to generate DTMs and MDSs that are then used to produce distortion-correcting orthophoto models, while LIDAR uses lasers to measure distances and generate with high vertical precision, which is essential for the generation of true orthophotos. high quality geometric Through this analysis, new perspectives and approaches in the creation of MDT and MDS are explored, demonstrating the advantages and challenges of each methodology. The evolution and current state of these techniques are highlighted, presenting recent advances and emerging trends in the field. Different studies and projects that have addressed this issue are highlighted, requiring a complete vision of the applications and limitations of each approach in different geographical and topographic contexts. Finally, the document constitutes an exhaustive review that illustrates the multiple possibilities offered by stereophotogrammetry and LIDAR for the generation of orthophotos and true orthophotos, evidencing the most recent contributions and future directions in this research area.geographical and topographic contexts.
