Abstract

Providing a good quality of drinking water is of vital importance since it has several uses in the daily life of humans, for this reason, a purification process must be fulfilled that effectively involves the maximum permissible standards within the quality of the water to a population. For this purpose, it is important to have a risk map that allows guaranteeing the quality of water from the supply systems to the distribution systems, in order to identify factors that may affect human health, regardless of whether the risk comes from a contamination by natural or anthropogenic events. The project is focused on the identification and evaluation of the risks that may affect or are affecting the Bellavista stream, source of supply for the Corpoguavio aqueduct in the municipality of Gachalá. Within the socioeconomic and cultural activities of the gachalunos, risks are generated that can affect the quality of the raw water that enters the intake of the treatment plant of the municipality under study, for this reason, it is important to execute a risk map that allows the control and surveillance of the quality of water for human consumption. Initially, the collection of information and the recognition of the study territory were carried out to identify the source of supply and carry out a study of the physical and chemical parameters that harm the quality of drinking water in the Bellavista stream based on resolution 2115. of 2007. Subsequently, the risk indices were evaluated by means of a risk matrix where the type of threat (natural, anthropic or mixed), the level of risk of the threat, the causes and findings that affect the creek were identified. Finally, the water quality risk map was developed in accordance with resolution 4716 of 2010, which is responsible for the preparation of the risk maps, identifying the risk levels of the compilation of the physicochemical parameters of the water quality of the Bellavista stream in the Municipality of Gachalá in the department of Cundinamarca.
