Resumen
According to the different social and economic conditions, Colombia has had to promote its progress through any vehicular tool capable of reducing transportation times, cost of living and distance from places. The most used tool that meets these conditions is the motorcycle, regardless of its brand, reference, cylinder capacity, etc. This vehicle allows users to comply with and be close to their responsibilities and improve their lives; thinking about this and the current conditions of increased production, marketing and sale of this type of automotive in the country. It was possible to identify that the market for safety accessories for this type of vehicle has a dependent increase, which seeks to reduce the percentage of accidents on the road. The injuries with the greatest bodily risk while driving are head, spinal cord, neck, and back injuries. In order to reduce the death and accident rates of this type of vehicle; the Ministry of Transportation published resolution 23385; which has been in force since January 23, 2021. This establishes the minimum conditions for the use of the helmet and the technical standards endorsed for marketing, the variety of brands, quality characteristics and comfort, with which the Colombian market counted before the pandemic. At present, there has been a shortage and an increase in prices for distributors and wholesalers, which perhaps have not yet hit the end user; but what if it has affected the sustenance of commercial locations and human resources. When reviewing the national industry, it can be identified that Inducascos and Cascos Lar are manufacturing companies that supply national products and market some foreign brands. Production requires several elements that we do not produce locally. On the other hand, the helmet is composed of materials such as fiberglass, thermoplastic resin, carbon fiber on the outside, inside there are materials such as polystyrene, foam, elastic fabric and adjustment strap, which can be replaced. and/or offset by recyclable material. Finally, in 2018 the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development published resolution 1407, which establishes the commitment to the circular economy of materials such as plastic, glass, metal and cardboard.
