As teachers associated to the Bogotá Department of Education (Secretaría de Education de Bogotá), we have always expressed the desire to contribute to the integral process of the students and their families that are assigned to us year after year, as group directors. In the same way, each group has its own characteristics, which leads to increasingly particular and special individual processes until they do not be part to the same environment. Therefore, at the beginning of each academic stage, a greater and better approach with families has become necessary. Nowadays, families are very diverse in composition, with a great variety in their difficulties and dynamics, which requires a continuous transformation in the pedagogical and ludic proposals to respond to those changing needs and situations we partake in, as part of the educational community. Affectivity is an expression of the human dimension. We find that ultimately, these expressions are determining factors for the improvement of human growth in a positive and reciprocal way. Thus, learning and human development are motivated both through families and students, therefore stimulating new learning for us as teachers.
