Formulación del sistema de evaluación de desempeño ambiental para el almacén Carulla Calle 140

Abstract

Society's expectations for sustainable development, transparency, responsibility and accountability have evolved within the context of increasingly stringent legislations, growing pressures regarding environmental pollution, inefficient use of resources, inappropriate waste management, climate change, ecosystem degradation and biodiversity loss. "This has led to organizations adopting a systematic approach to environmental management through the implementation of environmental management systems" (International Organization for Standardization [ISO], 2015). In this framework, the Environmental Performance Evaluation System is formulated for the Carulla Calle 140 store, seeking to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement, starting from the significant environmental aspects and the legal requirements and other requirements subscribed by the company, leading to the construction of programs, where objectives, goals and indicators are consolidated, for the measurement and monitoring of the store's environmental performance over time.
