Resumen
The monitoring of environmental samples, punctually groundwater samples has always been a problem derived from the contamination of the resource and the line of water stress of the same, it is therefore proposed to carry out a systematic review of the state of the art regarding the production of literature related to the use of radiotracers and analysis by neutron activation in favor of the detection of heavy metals in groundwater samples, finding an outstanding literary production in the European continent, specifically in Germany, Hungary and Italy, derived from the number of nuclear research reactors present in the continent, punctually in the case of Colombia no related research was found, due to the characteristics of the IAN-R1 reactor, which do not meet the requirements to run neutron activation experiments and / or emit radionuclides used in the manufacture of radiotracers.
