Diseño e implementación de un sistema de gestión y monitoreo de recursos universitarios en la nube utilizando AWS

Abstract

Efficient management of technological resources in educational institutions is essential to ensure the proper development of administrative and academic processes. At the Technological Campus of the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, the absence of a centralized system has led to inefficiencies, inventory errors, and difficulties in tracking and maintaining technological assets. To modernize and optimize these processes, a cloud-based system was designed and implemented using AWS, GLPI, and Webmin, following the agile Scrum methodology. This system automates asset management, enables real-time monitoring, strengthens information security, and improves data traceability, facilitating the management of equipment, software licenses, and other critical resources. In addition, it allows the generation of customized reports and provides controlled access based on specific roles and permissions, ensuring more efficient management aligned with the needs of the university community.
