Resumen
The veterinary clinics Jiman S.A.S currently develop activities and processes focused on domestic animal care, among the most relevant are medical care, Implementation of some non complex surgical processes and marketing of all kinds of inputs for domestic animal welfare, this research was developed with the purpose of formulating a management plan for hospital and similar waste (PGIRH) to ensure the proper management of waste resulting from the day-to-day activities of veterinary clinics. The development of the study was carried out in three main phases, initially a diagnosis was made regarding the current management carried out by veterinary clinics, showing several shortcomings and absence of relevant processes for waste management, The environmental impact assessment matrix (EIA) was subsequently developed, identifying the aspects and impacts from the generation of hazardous hospital waste and finally, in accordance with the previous points, the PGIRH was formulated with plans, programmes and activities that were considered important to ensure the proper management of hospital and similar waste both internally and externally, thus mitigating the potential impacts of inadequate management, what is described in the following PGIRH was carried out in accordance with current regulations.
