Resumen
This study evaluates the environmental and socioeconomic implications of land-use change in the Pobo farm (Fosca, Cundinamarca), comparing two productive alternatives: the continuity of sagú cultivation and the implementation of an intensive pig production system. Using a mixed and comparative methodological approach—including semi-structured interviews, direct observation, biodiversity assessment, and the application of the Leopold matrix—the research identified impacts on key variables such as biodiversity, ecosystem services, soil quality, profitability, and territorial sustainability. The findings provide guidelines for environmental management and sustainable land-use practices, supporting informed decision-making that balances economic productivity with natural resource conservation, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals and the National Circular Economy Strategy.
