Resumen
The Ministry of the Interior's radio program “Voces y Regiones” (Voices and Regions) is dedicated to promoting citizen participation and highlighting community activities in this area. In its first broadcast, the program addressed the importance of citizen participation processes, including social protest as a valid form of democratic participation. Various perspectives were presented, from the opinion of citizens in the street to the analysis of experts such as economist and lawyer Julián Sandoval, who emphasized the importance of education for an effective understanding of democracy. Also interviewed was Mesías Correor Sepeda, president of the Boyacá Community Federation, who shared his extensive experience in the community movement and the importance of youth participation. In addition, Fabiola Victoria Guerra de Science, director of the office of participation and democracy of the governor's office of Boyacá, spoke about the programs of the governor's office to strengthen citizen participation, especially through the Community Action Boards.
