Resumen
From December 6th to the 30th, an outdoor exhibition featuring 12 sculptures created by young visual artists is taking place in iconic locations across Bogotá, Medellín, and Cali. This initiative, promoted by Scotiabank, pays tribute to twelve Colombians recognized for their talent, professionalism, and significant social contributions that have transcended borders. Among the honorees is Rocío Saiz, director and founder of the 'Seamos Razones para Creer' Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the quality of life and fulfilling the dreams of children with terminal cancer. The exhibition seeks not only to recognize figures who are generally not known on a mass scale but also to inspire society by demonstrating that positive impact is possible regardless of public recognition.
The exhibition, currently located at the 'placita' of Usaquén Park in Bogotá before moving to Medellín and Cali, is completely free of charge. Rocío Saiz, who was moved upon seeing her own work of art, emphasizes that this tribute serves as a boost to the responsibility of continuing to work and grow for the children supported by the foundation. The initiative also highlights the talent of the 12 young visual artists responsible for the sculptures, who, like the honorees, seek visibility for their excellent work. The project underscores the value of those who have contributed to society in various fields, such as Luis Bermúdez, a professor at the District University previously nominated as one of the best teachers in the world for his strategy to prevent teenage pregnancy
