Resumen
Generally when talking about project management and especially in the field of construction, it is usual to generate the imagination that the practices related to planning, initiation, execution, control and closure are part of a few privileged projects that count with unlimited resources, as is the case with the repair of the Benfield Column (PMP Network, 1995), so high that they allow what is being executed to be analogically assimilated to the mechanism of a Swiss clock. Thus, it is necessary to discuss that the use of the tools and good practices used in Construction Project Management should not only be limited to the repository of large projects but also to those that are fully linked to the triple restriction of scope, time and investment. After being clear about the need to generalize the use of the tools in reference to small projects characterized by a low investment and short execution time, which on a conceptual basis can be parameterized in the present degree work, that a small project configures as; which in its final authorized budget is in the range of 28 to 450 Current Legal Monthly Salaries - SMLMV and whose horizon is estimated at a time of less than one (1) year. Thus, the aim is to obtain a practical guide to be able to execute this type of projects from the methodologies that the Construction Project Management requires and taking into account a rapid and strict control of the contracts based on Earned Value Management and that Its purpose is to generate extra value to the final product and whoever executes the project with the aforementioned guide can acquire different management skills and thus contribute to the development of the construction sector and therefore the country.
