Resumen
There are many teaching oriented applications that allow the user to acquire knowledge through interaction with technology. Among the users that can take advantage of this interaction there is a minority that are children with neurodevelopmental disabilities, who need a different way of learning because of their condition that makes their teaching and learning process different. It is important that children with these special conditions start their learning process in the shortest time possible, otherwise they are not likely to develop in an adequate way. In the group of brain injuries there is autism, a deficiency that can make communication with other people and learning difficult since it is characterized by the intense concentration of a person in his own inner world and the progressive loss of contact with the external reality. Currently in the area of education, learning for children with neurodevelopmental impairments is a challenge for parents and health professionals, since it is desired that they can learn as many skills, knowledge, behaviors and values as possible. This research will delve into the software applications that are used to facilitate the learning process, specifically in children with the neurodevelopmental disability of autism, and the existing teaching methods to apply them in the development of a prototype of an application to instruct children with this special condition.
