Abstract

The monograph titled 'Design and Implementation of a Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Plan for INDUSTRIAS JIRO S.A.S.' proposes a strategy to enhance maintenance management within the company. The primary objective is to reduce equipment and machinery failures, leading to increased asset availability, improved product quality, and decreased maintenance costs. To develop the maintenance plan, a criticality analysis of assets will be conducted to identify equipment that is most crucial to the company's operations. Based on this analysis, preventive and corrective maintenance activities will be established for each asset. The preventive maintenance plan encompasses inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and component replacements, performed periodically according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Conversely, the corrective maintenance plan includes repairs and replacements of defective components, executed upon equipment failures. With the implementation of the maintenance plan, results are anticipated in reducing equipment and machinery failures at INDUSTRIAS JIRO S.A.S. This will translate into increased asset availability, improved product quality, production times, and reduced maintenance costs.
