The image contains news about the privilege granted to Mr. Domingo Peña to navigate steamships on the Funza or Bogotá river. The constituent assembly of the sovereign state of Cundinamarca decrees: Article 1 Privilege is granted for a period of 30 years to Mr. Domingo Peña, to navigate in vessels moved by steam on the Funza or Bogotá river, understood as those that enter through the district from Suesca, and crossing it from north to south, it rushes through the Salto de Tequendama. Article 2 For the purpose of channeling the river, straightening its cause or smoothing out obstacles that, other than bridges or public works, may oppose its navigation, the company is considered to be of public quality; and consequently, land may be expropriated that are necessary for such purposes prior to judicial dedication and the subsequent initiation that will be the responsibility of the interested party.
