Comparación de los valores del sobreancho (U, FA), de las normativas INVIAS-2008 y AASHTO-2018, con simulaciones realizadas con Vehicle Tracking de Autodesk, para velocidades de 20, 30 y 40 km/h y vehículo rígido Bus 14, en función de variaciones del ángulo de deflexión

This research was proposed in order to determine the value of the widening variables (U and FA), necessary for roads of 20 km/h, 30 km/h y 40 km/h, considering the deflection angle as an influential factor in this calculation, to conclude whether this, generates a variation between the angles included from 10° a 180° for the same radius of curvature and specific speed. Using Civil 3D software, in its Vehicle Tracking module, simulations were carried out for a Bus Grande corresponding to the rigid vehicle in Colombia with its equivalent BUS 14 of the American regulation, obtaining measures of U and FA for ranges set in each speed matrix, later the calculation was carried out with the postulated formulas by the INVIAS and AASHTO regulations, with the proposed to be compared with se modeling values and determine their dispersion for the same radius in function of the deflection angle. Finally, the calculation of the regulations showed an oversizing referring to the simulations, when the conditions are turning radius or small deflections, which indicates that the proposed methodology would improve the calculation and design of widening.
