Resumen
Study of forests has become important because the large amount of goods and services they offer, and their changes (forest gains and losses) are indicators to understand habitat dynamics and biodiversity environmental. Therefore and considering the results of Colombia forests monitoring, the present investigation has been made a spatial analysis of deforestation in relation to the direct and underlying causes it same for Chocó state in period 2005 - 2010. The analyzes indicate that determinants of deforestation are mainly related with economic activities legal and illegal, poverty and lack development in the state. As a final result, an spatial autoregressive model of substantive dependence was obtained, which indicated that coca crops are responsible for deforestation.
