Companies of different nature in the day to day must develop projects of different nature to reach the objectives proposed in the short, medium or long term, and for this they deploy different business processes, this is how this document relates the process management of Business and project management through process mining which consists of a discipline that aims to knowledge of the data events that arise from any activity; Discover, improve and control the processes that can be given in an organization, this in order to strengthen the planning of a project by including a tool that allows from real data to generate useful information about a process, which will be possible To obtain as a result complementary inputs for the planning processes of a project, taking as reference the methodology proposed in the Project Management institute (PMI) in the document "guide to the fundamentals of project management" (PMBOK). In this order of ideas in this document, the reader is first contextualized with the concepts of business processes, project management and process mining, and then take a case study in which data are taken from three completed projects to which Process mining was applied to them from there to obtain analyzes that can be used as additional inputs for the planning processes proposed in the PMBOK in its version five
