This orders all citizens of the city and its surroundings to surrender any weapons they possess, such as rifles, shotguns, pistols, sabers, swords and spears, within three days. Those who do not comply will be considered traitors to the king and handed over to the military commission to be sentenced to death. In addition, those who conceal weapons will also be punished according to current laws. The weapons must be delivered to the Artillery Mastery, directed by Captain Don Francisco Solano. This measure seeks to restore the confidence of peaceful citizens and prevent rebels from persecuting them.
