Resumen
The project focuses on taking advantage of the flow of the drinking water network of a house, using the flow of water that circulates through the pipes can generate electricity, using a special device that can be attached to the network can feed a small load and in this way to be able to take advantage of this resource. The objective of this project is to verify the technical feasibility of installing this device and to be able to verify the capacity of generated energy. With the results of it can serve as a basis for research and projection of it to commercial or industrial facilities. Methodology: To verify the technical feasibility of installing these micro-hydro generators in the drinking water outlets, a series of steps is necessary, which include the investigation of each turbine in its technical and electrical characteristics, which seeks to know each equipment and its availability in the national market. Several of these devices are acquired, in order to compare the results. To test each piece of equipment, a prototype is built to simulate the water outlets of the home. This prototype allows the flow of each hydraulic outlet to be varied without wasting water, the behavior of the housing's hydraulic network can be seen, the both electrical and mechanical designs of the prototype and its construction. To test each hydraulic outlet of the house, registration was taken of the use in two houses with different number of inhabitants, this record is the basis for testing each micro-hydro-generator, in each test you get the most important variables that are voltage, flow, power and energy generated by each device. Results: With the results obtained in the tests, the study was conducted which shows the result of the technical feasibility study of the installation of this type of equipment in a housing unit of stratum two of the city of Bogotá, the samples are presented in independent graphics so that it is easier to interpret the data and can objectively demonstrate the differences between each micro-hydrogenerator.
