Resumen
The Provincial Chamber of Bogotá has issued a decree to unify the accounting of the parish Treasurys, with the aim of making it clearer and simpler. Parish Treasurers must keep separate accounts of the income they collect, using two books: one for the position and another for the data. Each amount they receive must be recorded with a corresponding receipt. In addition, they must follow a plan of values and preventions established by the Councils for the collection of amounts. At the end of each year, accounts must be closed and stocks compared. The account books must be presented to the President of the Council for examination without the need for copies. A summary of the charge items and data must be presented along with the books.
The image contains a notice about the rules that apply to the accounts that Parish Treasurers must open on January 1, 1843, with the exception of factory accounts, which follow specific rules. Mayors must verify the subsidiary personal service with the list of individuals approved by the Council and the receipts for the service provided. This decree seeks to guarantee transparent and accurate accounting in parish Treasurys. News published in El Repertorio on March 22, 1856
