Taking into account that cosmetic -france (marcel-france) is a company in the pharmaceutical sector dedicated to the manufacture of cosmetic-capillary and beauty products, in which in their production processes is necessary the use of non-renewable resources such as drinking water and according to the Colombian constitution that in its decree 3930 of 2010 ; “establishes the provisions related to water resource uses and discharges to soil and sewerage”; and in resolution 0631 of 2015 in which; “establish the parameters and maximum permissible values in specific discharges into surface water and sewerage systems. ” As mentioned above, in compliance with national regulations, the company directs its efforts towards the achievement of goals and objectives to prevent, mitigate and minimize contaminants present in water when it is discharged into the public sewerage system. In order to achieve these goals, it was necessary to implement an industrial wastewater treatment system (WWTP) whose objective is to remove and/or reduce the physical, chemical and biological characteristics present in the water required for the manufacturing and cleaning processes of the marcel-france industry. These levels of pollutants can be harmful to the receiving water body but they are treated prior to their discharge. In accordance with the above, the support provided as a technologist in environmental management and public services in the company is directed mainly to a recognition, description, analysis and diagnosis of structures and processes that are carried out in the PTAR of the marcel-france industry, this in order to develop a plan to improve the wastewater treatment system-industrial in order to fully comply with current regulations and to ensure the maximum allowable values of physical and chemical parameters present in the water to be discharged into the public sewerage system.
