Resumen
This document presents the development of an ontology in the agricultural domain for the recommendation of crops and arable areas in a specific period, based on climatic variables that influence the good development of crops. Through Methontology, a conceptual model is defined relating the basic concepts of effective development of crops such as lettuce, corn, strawberry, tomato, carrot, lulo and cocoa, in accordance with the specifications and recommendations proposed in the documentation of the Colombian government. The generated inference model takes the forecast results of climatic variables and generates recommendations for zones and crops with the application of descriptive logic that, based on rules, generates inferences to identify the crop options and cultivable areas that present the highest yield. The accuracy of the model is evaluated using historical data of crops previously produced in areas of the country, making a comparison between the real data and the results obtained through the ontological model, providing a high level of reliability.
