Resumen
The "Páramo de Rabanal" is of vital importance for the ecosystem services it provides, related to the stability of climatic and hydrological cycles, regulation of water flows, among others; However, it has faced increasing threats from agricultural, livestock, extractive and mining companies that have been developing in it for several decades. The CAR, taking into account the conflict between the interests of the inhabitants of the "Páramo de Rabanal" and the requirement to conserve this ecosystem complex that provides environmental goods and services to much of the settled population in the area; it was proposed to carry out a participatory environmental zoning for the area of moorland located within the municipality of Guachetá, within the framework of the Guidelines for Zoning and Regime of Uses established in Resolution 0886 of 2018. Environmental zoning is a method used to determine the proper use of spaces in a territory according to its places, inhabitants, available resources and climatic characteristics and environmental (Rincón, 2018). The Participatory Environmental Zoning of the "Páramo de Rabanal" was carried out in three phases consisting mainly of obtaining primary information in the field (current use of the soil and social characterization of the inhabitants of the moorland), the secondary information (Conflicts of use and land cover) and zoning using the methodology designed by the CAR (layer weighted overlay). The results obtained show the social characterization of the inhabitants of the moorland and the zoning environmental program carried out not only for the municipality of Guachetá but for 560 properties that make up the Northern Sector of the Páramo and with it the areas that will be transit zones towards the reconversion and replacement, those priorities for ecological restoration and priority areas for its preservation.
