Resumen
The radio program "Voices and Regions" is focused on promoting citizen participation and strengthening the regions of Colombia. In this broadcast, the topic of peaceful conflict resolution is addressed as a means to create safe spaces for coexistence. Guillermo Acosta, law student at the University of Nariño, is invited to explain alternative conflict resolution mechanisms, such as conciliation, mediation and arbitration. These methods, which can be judicial or extrajudicial, seek to resolve disputes quickly and effectively without the need for lengthy judicial processes. Additionally, the role of the university's legal clinics in promoting these mechanisms in low-income communities is mentioned. Throughout the program, the role of citizens in the oversight of rulers is also highlighted, emphasizing the importance of oversight and citizen control to ensure transparent public management. The peaceful resolution of conflicts is presented as a fundamental tool to improve coexistence and promote a culture of peace, especially in regions far from formal justice.
