Composición y Estructura de un Ensamble de Aves en Puerto Gaitán - Meta

Abstract

This internship aims to contribute information on the avifauna present in Basin Rio Planas (Puerto Gaitan-Meta), this in order, to provide the necessary basis for the formulation of a forest management plan (POF). This requires a pre-field stage was conducted by reviewing the various portals of biological collections online, focused on the expected avifauna for the municipality; at this stage, little existing information to the taxonomic group and the municipality evidence. For the field phase (April-May), a sampling of this avifauna for the Rio Planas, setting parameters of sampling, data processing and implementation of a etnozoológico instrument was made; at this stage, a total of 371 birds formed by 133 species recorded. The results contribute to the knowledge of birdlife in the region with 70% of the expected species for the basin. Similarly, the species richness obtained are important for understanding the processes of replacement of species that are generated in the landscape units.
