Resumen
This internship aims to learn how 3D photogrammetry and cartography can be used to evaluate the restoration measures implemented in three monitoring stations located in the reef zone of Providencia Island. The evaluation is based on digital images of the stations captured during monitoring carried out in 2019 and 2021. For the study of these areas in the first instance, a 3D digital representation and an orthomosaic of each station were created by means of Agisoft Metashape software. On the other hand, the evaluation of the monitored areas is generated from the orthomosaics in ArcGIS software, where a classification is made by adapting the substrate classes according to the coral monitoring protocol Reef Check. Then, a spatiotemporal comparison of the classified coverages is made, thus providing results of the restoration and change measures of the coverages in each photo mosaic.
