Resumen
One of the most harmful invasive plant species worldwide is the thorny broom (Ulex Europaeus L.); an endemic specie of central Europe and Africa that is extremely dangerous for any ecosystem and has been found in Colombia for approximately 70 years. In the present degree work, the environmental problems that the invasive species has originated in the ecosystems made up of moors, high Andean forest, eastern hills and Cundiboyacense savanna in Colombia are defined. Then, the formulation and evaluation of an investment project for the creation of a company that produces ecological briquettes from the biomass of thorny broom as an alternative to the use of solid biofuels is presented, resulting in a proposal to contribute to the control of this invasive species. The topics addressed by the feasibility study are: the description of the thorny retreat, a context study presented using DOFA and PESTEL methodology, market research and commercial proposal, a technical study that includes the engineering of the project and its location, a study economic to determine costs and expenses, initial investment and income and finally, a financial evaluation based on the previous information.
