| dc.description | Este trabajo examina algunos procesos de representación y resemantización del canibalismo en el contexto de la batalla por las rutas del comercio Atlántico en la costa de Brasil, y analiza la dimensión especular del tropo caníbal en algunos relatos (proto)etnográficos en los cuales, el caníbal fue un dispositivo generador de alteridad y un tropo cultural de reconocimiento. En otras palabras, se examinará el caníbal como artefacto etno-cartográfico para Imaginar el tiempo y el espacio del salvajismo, y como artefacto utópico-melancólico compensatorio de las "pérdidas" de la Modernidad. | es-ES |
| dc.description | This study examines some processes of representation and reinterpretation of cannibalism in the context of the battle for the Atlantic commercial routes on the Brazilian Coast, and analyzes the spectacular dimension of the cannibal as a cultural trope that generated the acknowledgement of otherness in some proto-ethnographic narratives In other words, the cannibal is examined as an ethno-carthographic artifact to: a)imagine the time and space of savageness and b) compensate the utopic and melancholic "losses" of Modernity. | en-US |
