Resumen
As a result of the study carried out by UPME and the Inter-American Development Bank, the Advanced measurement infrastructure was determined as one of the enablers for the development of Smart Networks in Colombia. Based on the foregoing, the Ministry of Mines and Energy in order to guarantee socioeconomic development in article number 5 of Resolution 40459 of May 27, 2019 established that by 2030, 75% of users of the National Integrated System (SIN) must have the Advanced Measurement Infrastructure implemented. In accordance with the above approaches and in order to comply with what is established within the regulatory framework for the socioeconomic development of the country, the need to implement the Intelligent measurement infrastructure through an optimal model of massification that allows establishing the conditions is evident. necessary for the implementation of said technology. The implementation of advanced measurement infrastructure from which schemes are promoted for the optimization of energy resources in the country, evidences the symptoms raised and identifies the need to guarantee the operational capacity for the provision of installation services.
