El presente artículo es una temprana contextualización al concepto de cartografía, además, después del acercamiento a estas bases se explorara la cartografía social entendida desde el punto de vista de una herramienta de comprensión hacia las comunidades, que para temas de este artículo se ha considerado importante en el trabajo futuro en el semillero CEA Competitividad Económica Ambiental. Como estudio de caso se tomó el estudio realizado hacia la identificación cartográfica de comunidades indígenas en del departamento del meta, realizado por el Programa Presidencial de Derechos Humanos y Derecho Internacional Humanitario -Gobernación del Meta y la Secretaría Social y de Participación.Palabras claveMapa, participación, Cartografía, sistema, información, comunidades, territorio, impacto.ABTRACTThis article is an early contextualization of the concept of cartography, also after this basic approach follows an exploration of some branches and applications of the cartography such as social cartography from the standpoint id understanding tool for communities, the topics in this article are important in the future work for the CEA environmental economic competitiveness study group.
