Resumen
In this edition of Voces y Regiones, the discussion focuses on leadership, a fundamental quality in the development of communities, organizations, and projects. Various types of leaders are highlighted, each with specific characteristics and approaches, such as transformational, democratic, autocratic, charismatic, and community leaders.
Community leadership plays a key role in promoting collective well-being. It focuses on training individuals who work for their communities, seeking solutions to local issues, fostering citizen participation, and promoting coexistence and peace. In Colombia, community leaders are crucial in managing social projects, accessing resources, and defending rights in their territories.
To be a good leader, essential skills include effective communication, empathy, teamwork, conflict resolution, and decision-making. In many regions, training and development programs have been implemented to strengthen leadership and create a positive impact on society.
