Diseño de un modelo para la gestión de proyectos en el área business intelligence de la Empresa LISIM International S.A.S.

Abstract

This project proposes the design of a project management model, based on the guidelines given by the PMBOK guide, in the area of BI (Business Intelligence) at the LiSim International company. This enterprise is engaged to Data Analytics of information samples provided by the same customers, used to create models, in which different characteristics required to analyze the credit behavior of a person can be identified and, thereby, the financial institution can take a variety of decisions. The result of this project will be a model for project management that allows to the area of BI to implement permanently some good practices for each project development because the area does not have a defined structure to establish start-up and deadline formats, formats for similar processes, documentation and manuals, it does not have a knowledge base that allows the developers to have a source of information about past projects, incidents or runtime optimizer codes either. Furthermore, it is difficult to allocate resources to new projects because no developers’ work plan is available and this causes a work overload on some resources, deadlines problems and process quality of each project too. The aim of this project is to perform a different procedure from those made in the area in order to verify, in a long term, the processes develop better; however, the verification methodology proposed here is not contemplated.
