Resumen
Monitoring and controlling progress in civil engineering studies and designs is a critical process in project management due to the lack of methodological tools adapted to the sector. This limits progress assessment, the identification of deviations, and timely decision-making. One study indicates that, while companies have the experience and technical capacity to develop and meet these objectives, there is a significant weakness in the coordination area for project monitoring and control (Rojas, Gaitan, & Huertas, 2024). Additionally, it highlights that project management and execution in Colombia present significant challenges, including improvements in planning, monitoring, and control (Pinzón González, Fajardo Arias, & Leal Coronado, 2019). Within this context, the present project is developed with the purpose of evaluating the feasibility of creating a company dedicated to the development and training of a model for monitoring and controlling progress adapted to civil engineering studies and designs, in order to provide a solution to the problem and address the needs of the sector. The development of the proposal was based on an applied approach, through the development of market, technical, administrative, and financial studies, in order to establish the overall feasibility of the proposal
