Resumen
Mery Ruth presents a visual art piece that explores memory and its relationship to visual arts and transparency. The structure of the work encompasses an exploration of memory and its connection to visual arts and transparency, alongside artistic development that considers transparency and installation as fundamental axes. The creative process and interaction with space are key elements in the realization of the works, highlighting the significance of artistic and ritualistic acts.
The work seeks to re-imagine the city through graphics and contact with the emotional journey, starting from personal memory and interacting with the urban space. The artist experiments with industrial paint, engaging with the format to express experiences and memories of the imagined city. The act of giving, like a daisy or a gaze, becomes a human encounter that transforms the space and the meaning of the journey for the observer. The proposed installation was located in front of the Academia Superior de Artes de Bogotá, using acetate to interact with the urban environment and provoke reflection in the passerby.
