Abstract

The image contains news about the direct contribution between the Districts. In a session held in Bogotá on October 29, 1860, chaired by Governor Pedro Gutiérrez Lee and with the participation of several prominent officials and neighbors, the distribution of the contribution destined for national defense was discussed, as provided by the corresponding law and executive orders. The Commission, in charge of allocating the amounts to the different parish districts, decided to exempt the towns of the former territory of San Martín due to a previous law that exempted them from non-parish contributions. After detailed consultations and discussions, the distribution was carried out considering the valuation of real estate, industrial activity and other relevant criteria.
