Resumen
In this edition of Voces y Regiones, the concept of public policy is analyzed, including its integration and role in social development. The discussion highlights how these policies aim to include a diverse population, ensuring that young people are actively involved. Additionally, it explores the government’s efforts to promote the participation of all sectors of society in their design and implementation.
Public policies are strategies and actions developed by the State to address social issues and improve the population’s quality of life. Their formulation involves identifying needs, encouraging citizen participation, and allocating resources to make an impact in areas such as education, health, employment, and social inclusion. In Colombia, these policies seek to promote equity and guarantee fundamental rights, ensuring that various social groups, especially the most vulnerable, are considered in decision-making processes.
