Resumen
This report presents the results of an internship focused on the application of the BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodology for the design of drinking water treatment plants (WWTP) and wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) with flow rates of 1.5 L/s and 0.5 L/s, respectively. Using Autodesk Revit, 3D models were developed with levels of development (LOD) between 300 and 350, optimizing the design, interdisciplinary coordination, and management of hydrosanitary projects. Libraries of standardized components and detailed drawings were created, improving construction and operational efficiency and complying with regulations such as NTC ISO 16757-2:2021 and Resolution 0330 of 2017. The internship highlights the potential of BIM to reduce cost overruns, improve planning, and promote sustainability in basic sanitation projects.
