Abstract

The traffic congestion problems, have made the demand exceeds the capacity of the intersection of Av. Boyaca Av. Jorge Gaitan Cortes, in addition to the problems a number of factors that add up to the intersection to have a low level of service as conditions in the road section as the high accident rate. The importance of mobility intersections of the city, the need to improve the infrastructure of the intersection is created Av. Boyaca Av. Jorge Gaitan Cortes. Because of these circumstances, the present study to improve the intersection of Av. Boyaca Av. Jorge Gaitan Cortes, seeks to propose a technical solution, from the layout and geometric design, to adapt the intersection of capacity and level of service that meets the current and future traffic.
