Resumen
Wilson Javier Blanco Núñez's research focuses on constructing a scenic space proposal for the play "The Law of the Pendulum," inspired by the aesthetic of Piet Mondrian. The research explores the evolution of the concept of space throughout history, from ancient Greece to the 20th century, encompassing physical, plastic, and scenic space. It centers on analyzing the aesthetic characteristics of Mondrian's work and how these were translated into the scenic language of "The Law of the Pendulum." The author examines the use of empty space, the adaptation of painting to scenic space, the development of an original choreographic movement proposal, and mobile and interactive lighting.
The study also addresses the adaptation of pictorial concepts to the creation of sound, light, and corporeal spaces in the work. It analyzes the fragmentation of space through the use of canvases and the inclusion of virtual elements, as well as the process of assembling the work in different theatrical spaces. In addition, the relationship between music and geometry is explored, and how the body constructs spaces through angular and fragmented movement. The research concludes that scenic space is a social and temporal construct, dependent on cultural, religious, scientific, and artistic factors, and that the play "The Law of the Pendulum" seeks to fill the space with geometries, colors, and lighting inspired by Mondrian, as well as with the music of Shostakovich.
