Diametric structure in a tropical dry forest fragment in the Cerrado Eco-Museum region, Brazil.

| dc.description | In a tropical dry forest area of the Brazilian central region, the DBH distribution of 742 trees ≥ 5 cm was analyzed in a 4000 m2 area. Eighty three tree species were found, of which 25 species with more than 10 individuals were analyzed for this study. The frequency histograms were obtained through the Meyer and Gaussian equations. The DBH distribution of the population showed a negative exponential inverse J curve. Of the 25 species selected, 14 exhibited the same pattern. Eight species presented a tendency near the normal distribution while three species had an abnormal pattern. We concluded that the observed fragment is in a natural auto regenerative status. | en-US |
| dc.description | En un fragmento del bosque tropical seco de la región central del Brasil se analizó la distribución diamétrica de 742 árboles con DAP ≥ 5 cm en un área de 4000 m2. Se encontraron 83 especies arbóreas y se analizaron las veinticinco especies que presentaron más de diez individuos. Los histogramas de frecuencia fueron analizados por las ecuaciones de Meyer y Gaussian. La distribución del total de la densidad poblacional mostró una curva exponencial negativa de la J invertida. De las veinticinco especies analizadas, catorce mostraron el mismo comportamiento. Otras ocho especies tuvieron una curva próxima a la distribución normal y tres presentaron una tendencia de curva completamente anormal. Se concluye que el fragmento observado está en estado de auto regeneración natural. | es-ES |
