| dc.description | The experience with sacred plants of connection is somehow an artistic experience, a spiritual endeavor that influences the behavior, that inspires and encourages creativity, for it creates other ways of perceiving, thinking and interpreting the world, and allows the understanding of the internal phenomena of each being-there. The use and knowledge of these plants goes back to a remote past. This text looks upon the Southwest of Colombia to describe the visionary-shamanic paintings of two indians from the Sibundoy Valley. Their shapes and colors, which are the result of the revelation and the knowledge of the invisible or sacred given by the master-beverage, the yagé, are key to understand that, in their cultural context, these (re) presentations are a means that beautifies (is grateful and offers) life and thought. | en-US |
| dc.description | La experiencia con plantas sagradas de conexión es, en cierto modo, una experiencia artística,un esfuerzo espiritual que influye en el comportamiento, que inspira y estimula la creatividad,pues crea otras formas de percibir, pensar e interpretar el mundo, y permite comprender los fenómenos internos de cada ser-ahí. El uso y conocimiento mismos de este tipo plantas se remonta a un pasado remoto. El presente texto acerca su mirada al suroccidente de Colombia para describir las pinturas visionarias-chamánicas de dos indígenas del Valle de Sibundoy. Sus formas y colores, que son fruto de la revelación y los conocimientos de lo invisible o lo sagrado dados por el brebaje-maestro, el yagé, son clave para entender que en su contexto cultural estas (re)presentaciones son un medio que embellece (agradece y presenta) la vida y el pensamiento. | es-ES |
