Resumen
The fact that the guest country at FILBO is Macondo, the fictional town in One Hundred Years of Solitude, is addressed. This is interpreted as an invitation to reflect on Colombian identity and its relationship with fiction and social reality. The program highlights García Márquez's role as a peace mediator, mentioning his participation in the talks with the FARC during the administration of President Andrés Pastrana. It underscores his commitment to peace and his friendship with political and cultural figures of the time. The program includes music that complements the theme, such as songs by Silvio Rodríguez, Rubén Blades ("Ojos de perro azul," based on a story by Gabo), and the song "Bambuco de Macondo." It explores the relationship between music, literature, and culture, and how music can be a form of storytelling. The communication groups of the Fundación Instituto Tecnológico del Sur and the Universidad Mayor de Cundinamarca contribute to the program, sharing their reflections on Gabo's legacy and the importance of learning beyond the classroom. Instituto Tecnológico del Sur students Jennifer Dueñas, Julián Buitrago, and Camila San Martín emphasize that life itself is a constant learning process.
