In this degree work an introduction to dynamical systems is shown, through the study of iterations of complex quadratic polynomials for the construction of the Mandelbrot set, the theory of external rays (formulated by Douady and Hubbard [Douady 1982]), and the algorithms of Schleicher and Tuning to find the external rays in the bulbs. All this in order to interpret the Boundary Characterization Theorem and implement the necessary software to understand the studied sets.

En este trabajo de grado se muestra una introducción a los sistemas dinámicos, a
través del estudio de iteraciones de polinomios cuadráticos complejos para ver la
construcción del conjunto de Mandelbrot, la teoría de rayos externos (formulada
por Douady y Hubbard [Douady 1982]), y los algoritmos de Schleicher y Tuning
para encontrar los rayos externos en los bulbos. Todo esto con el fin de interpretar el Teorema de Caracterización de la frontera de M e implementar el software
necesario para comprender los conjuntos estudiados.
