Manual de procedimientos para el laboratorio especializado de alta tensión de la Facultad Tecnológica

Abstract

At present, the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas has a Specialized High Voltage Laboratory, used in subjects such as Insulation Laboratory, Introduction to High Voltage, Electrical Measurements, Electromagnetic Conversion, EMC, among others. However, the study of high voltage, which is one of the branches of engineering where electrical and magnetic phenomena associated with voltages and currents appear, requires more experimentation and therefore the realization of practices and experiments in environments equipped with specialized instruments. The disruptive voltage of insulators, the degree of protection of lightning rods and surge arresters, among others, cannot be accurately determined by any other method than experimental testing through the different techniques in the generation of voltage and current impulses. Thus, it is beneficial to elaborate a procedures manual that serves as support material and allows to know in depth the use and operation of the equipment, typical assemblies and experimental tests concerning the understanding of high voltages.
